About Simple Cafe

Born in France to Algerian parents, Samia Behaya wanted to bring together her roots and her talent for cooking in NYC. As a child, she learned how to cook by watching her mother, and it’s still the family recipes, which are the cornerstone in Behaya’s cooking. At Simple Cafe, she mixes American cuisine with France and Algerian influence, and the food is made with produce sourced from The Hudson Valley.

Having been open for more than 13 years, Behaya is doing something right! Simple Cafe is a neighborhood staple, where locals as well as visitors hang out.
